When you’re putting on your make-up it’s like you’re an artist, but instead of painting a canvas, you’re painting your face” ~Burlesque. One of my friends quotes this every time I shout at her for taking too long to do her makeup. So i decided to get a little personal and write her a letter and it goes like this…
Dear friend,
I get it, you like to look good you feel good when you look good, call me a little crazy but i think everyone feels the same way. You however are interested in perfection ‘eyebrows on fleek!’ the new lip kit by Kylie Jenner, the perfect winged eyeliner and the list continues but perfect isn’t normal nor is it interesting. Don’t get me wrong but isn’t it all too much. Did you know that the average British woman spends approximately 140, 000 pounds on hair and cosmetics in her life time. She spends about 40,000 pounds on hair and 100, 000 pounds on cosmetics. My suggestion to you my good friend is to keep it simple you don’t need the fake lashes and highlighting and contouring tutorials on YouTube to get it right everyday because honestly it doesn’t matter. The secret to beauty is not about the looks. To feel good you need to learn how to love how you look, your flaws are your beauty so please take pride in them. In my honest opinion your always on fleek. But feel free to do it from time to time, it doesn’t hurt to have a little fun.
Love always, Sana.
